We are open!!
Yippee, we are open today - the roads are much better this morning then they have been over the last few weeks. Although Stoke Road is still icy in parts so please be careful whilst driving along there. Hopefully the rush hour won't be as bad as yesterday. Please drive carefully :-)

Thursday 14th January 2010
We plan to open in the morning. We do have a severe weather warning for widespread icy roads overnight and through the morning. Please allow extra time for your journey in the morning and ideally please don't travel unless you truly have to. The roads haven't been gritted and probably won't be as we are not classed as a priority route. I will be in as soon as in the morning. So please bear with us if we are a little bit late in the morning although we will be leaving with plently more time!
Thank you all for your ongoing understanding with the weather situation. We never wish to close and it is a very difficult decision to have to make, but the priority will always be the safety of the children, and them being able to get home safely, so thank you for bearing with us.
See you all in the morning :-)
I will update in the morning after the journey up to notify you of the road conditions!

Apologies
We have decided that we will close at 1pm - the travelling situation is too bad for people to risk driving. We obviously have a duty of care to all users of the Nursery and if parents are taking 1 to 2 hours to get to us we have to ensure that everyone can get home safely.
Many Thanks

We are open - but please do not risk travelling in unless you really have to. The roads are probably the worse they have been since the cold snap started. The forecast is for heavy snow for the rest of the day with the possibilty of sleet later - but with freezing temperatures yet again!!! We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day and the risk to parents travelling, children and staff.
Thanks

Open!!
Yay.... we have more staff so we will be open today!! Please take your time coming in, the main road in Leighton Buzzard is fine, but the rest are awful and if you can wrap your children up warm that'll be great!!! If you can drop me an email, a phone call or a text to let me know that you are on your way that will also be a great help.
Drive Carefully!!

Extra Warm Clothes
If we are able to stay open today and you do bring your child in can you please ensure that they have warm clothing on please. We have all our heaters on but the hall is only about 12 degrees at the moment!! (Bring on the sunshine!!)
Thursday 7th January
Hi All,
I have got in - the main roads are ok but all the side roads are trecharous!!! I am now waiting to see how many staff members are able to make their way in. Can you please let me know of your intentions whether you plan to make your way to us or not. This is a safety aspect aswell.
Will update at about 8.15am
Many Thanks

Thursday 7th January
As you can all appreciate it's difficult for to know what is going to happen overnight and whether we will be open tomorrow. I am going to leave at 7am in the morning and drive to Nursery - hopefully it won't take me too much longer than normal. If I can get in safely and other members of staff can do so then we will be open as normal. Obviously that decision won't be made until the morning at which point I will update the blog. Take care!!
Closure!
We have decided to close. The snow is now getting heavier. Please do not travel unless you really have to. If this does cause anyone major problems please contact me on the Nursery phone it will divert through to my personal number, and it is possible that I can look after some children at my house. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes. I will update the blog regularly with regards to tomorrow.
Thanks Sian

Snow - wednesday 6th January
Hi All,
Have managed to get into Nursery - the roads are awful! I am going to monitor the situation over the next 15 minutes with the snow and will probably make the decision to close. We are forecast more heavy snow and the concern is that we will not be able to leave later today and parents will not be able to get to us. I will update at 8.30am.
Many Thanks
